Shelter Dinner
To give our brothers and sisters who are less fortunate the chance to have a warm meal, a chance to sit and relax and a chance to enjoy conversation with others is the stewardship opportunity this group offers. We invite everyone to sign up to prepare a dish for the dinner on the first Thursday of every month at the Spooner House in Shelton. On the specific evening, the committee gathers and finishes preparing the meal, serves the meal to our guests and then also relaxes and enjoys the meal and the company of our guests. A wonderful opportunity to brighten someone’s day!

This ambitious and energetic Catholic Men’s fraternal organization was founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney to provide assistance to widows, orphans, the church and their membership at large while also providing social and intellectual fellowship. The members of the order still remain true to their founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity today. Our church men belong to the Aurora Council # 53 which is located on Main Street in Seymour. The Knights meet on the second Monday of the month, 7 PM at the Strand Theater.
